This is Shadow our 9 1/2 year old black lab and he is the absolute sweetest dog. He's been very sick and we're not sure with what. This is why I haven't been posting much as I was so depressed at the thought of losing him.
After a bad last weekend he spent Mon and Tues. at the veterinary hospital. When I saw him up on Tues. evening my heart sank. When my wife got home I told her that he looks so bad and I thought he was near the end.
Wed. morning he looked no better. Cathy and I went out for coffee and were gone about 40 min. when we came home guess who was at the back door wagging his tail, yep it was Shadow. While he is still weak he's been improving little by little. Now when we go out he once again wants to play fetch and I ''happy'' to oblige him.

They give us so much and ask for so little back.................P-man

Yes is playing in Madison tomorrow night, without Jon Anderson of course. Apparently they are playing Fragile and Close To The Edge in their entirety, plus some new stuff. I have a friend who consider them the "fraudulent Yes" because they are playing without Jon, sort of like Led Zeppelin playing without Robert Plant. Not sure what to think about that. I can't go anyway, so it's irrelevant for me. I passed on a chance to see Yes in 1975 and I've been kicking myself in the azz ever since. One of my all-time favorite bands. I saw Jon Anderson about two years ago solo and he was awesome.

    Attachment not found.

Another excellent album Don! My second favorite by Jon.

I haven't seen YES since 2004. I had front row center tickets to their show near Portland, Oregon in 2006 but Jon had his acute respiratory failure so the tour never happened. I still have the ticket though.

I have been in conflict in deciding if the last time I see YES will be with or without Jon Anderson, so I haven't gone to any of the other tours since 2004. I saw YES at one of the San Luis Obispo shows (the last one on March 6th, 1996). Phenominal show! One of the best concerts I have been to! Seeing YES in 1975 would have been excellent! The Relayer tour! Keep on rockin' some YES, and solo albums! Great stuff! (Probably my favorite music of all time).

My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Yeah Red, that band Bob had at that point was considered by many as perhaps his best. Larry Campbell and Charlie Sexton on guitar. Time Out Of Mind is also a great album that got a grammy as I recall.

Some good cuts on that...Slaughter On 10th Ave....now that is a good one..Very good drumming by Dunbar on that. Album was a sleeper though...Just didn't take off like it should have...Think Mick was still under Bowies shadow...

    Jefferson Airplane Takes Off

I think this might be an earlier pressing. I base this on the the weight of the LP itself.
In the 70's RCA had some of the wimpiest vinyl. This album was in the 6 boxes of vinyl
given to me by my friend Bill.

I really like this LP and was kinda surprised at that!
"I think this might be an earlier pressing. I base this on the the weight of the LP itself."
This may be a truism for old vinyl. They seem to have have gotten cheaper in each run.
My copy is the lowly $1.00 Rhino mono.
