Dudes, was in Santa Fe for the weekend. A guy in a coffee shop at 9am suddenly felt compelled to recite a capella the entire lyrics from Steppenwolf's "From Here To There Eventually," which he at the conclusion of which added was "the last song from the last side of Monster." Wasn't quite sure who the intended audience was.

That is delightfully surreal. I don't know if you've ever thought about pitching a story to the radio program The Moth... but I'd opine that, if you ever care to, you've got the genesis of a story...Dudes, was in Santa Fe for the weekend. Interesting link. I was thinking at the coffee shop I should do a new "On The Road," video-style. Couldn't start it that morning as my cell phone was charging in my buddy's truck. Too bad.

Listen to a few - some are funny, some are gut-wrenching; virtually all are good.
If I ever actually did anything interesting, I'd be pitching a story to 'em... -

I love most of Roy's albums but I must say that "My Babe, 1981, AJK" was one I didn't care for.
After that album he did 3 for the Alligator label which I thought were pretty good.
