Wow another Coco Montoya fan. I saw Coco and Walter Trout at the same venue a few years back. Coco was a self taught guitarist played drums in Albert Collins band, the Ice Man taught Coco his style and Mr Montoya then went out on his own. You got some good tunes P-Man. I'am starting off my sunday with this one.

    Thank You Sir,
    Here's a good one too !!

This album, which is aptly (if none too cleverly) titled Friends in the Can, Canned Heat is joined by a fairly predictable all-star cast of guests that includes slide guitar fiend Roy Rogers, Taj Mahal, Walter Trout, and even (posthumously) John Lee Hooker. The result could have gone either way, but by keeping the songs under tight control and focusing on the lowdown boogie -- and thanks to the maturity of all involved, none of whom seem to feel the slightest need to grandstand -- the participants have produced an album that sounds the way a good steak dinner tastes. Highlights include the Hooker showcase "Little Wheel" (actually an outtake from the Healer sessions), the Corey Stevens composition "Getaway," and a gloriously greasy rendition of "Let's Work Together" that brings absolutely nothing new to that old chestnut -- just joy and an apparently inextinguishable sense of musical camaraderie. Recommended.

Ahhhhh those "Masters Of Reality" you gotta love'em
Wikipedia / Masters of Reality is a hard rock group formed in 1981 by guitarist and singer Chris Goss and Tim Harrington in Syracuse, New York.

If you didn't know it already Ginger Baker was only on the 2nd album "Sunrise On The Sufferbus" plus the name of the band was taken from Black Sabbath's 3rd album.

In the picture the LP and the CD on the left are basically the same (1st) album. The vinyl is the U.S. album (11 tracks) and the CD is the British version with (12 tracks).

    Studio albums
    1989 - Masters of Reality
1992 - Sunrise on the Sufferbus
1999 - Welcome to the Western Lodge
2001 - Deep in the Hole
    2004 - Give Us Barabbas
    2009 - Pine/Cross Dover

Msabot1 the 1st album IMHO is the best.

to form Baker Gurvitz Army. The above LP is the 2nd album
