I disconnected the tweeters on the Bozak and am trying the Altec
instead.

A little hi-fi sounding but it works with the Beatles. Plus, the receiver
has an equalizer so I can EQ it the best I can.

the NAK cassette deck stopped functioning.
A couple of hours later I'm listening to a Donald Erb practice session.
The counter still not working but the belt is about gone.
FF and REW are now working again...
90 minute tapes tension seems to shut her off.
Lets try a newer cassette;

the saga continues.
Cassettes play until they don't. Ordered some rubber rejuvenator.
If this doesn't work, belts if I feel like spending another day on it.
Apparently, Nakamichi realized their mistake and later versions have
gears instead of rubber tires.
In the mean time, a new Routes cassette!
