    Did some interesting reading today on how out of control Bowie’s cocaine habit was. This classic written in those out of control times was recorded qp07y8ilirgr.jpeg
    when he was doing as much as 7 grams of coke in a day. Interestingly he had stayed more sober than other artists of the era for many years while his fame had exploded, but he succumbed to the common demons of his vocation.

    the top CD is from the $2 section. It's made in Germany by Creative Sounds.
    Doing some comparative listening to the 2009 DE.

    The 2009 CD1 has 'Evil Woman' on it as this was the way it was originally released.
    The better known version to us in the USA drops EW finishes with 'Wicked World'.
    Digging around the web, I understand the German CS has pre-emphasis and some
    CD players do not read it. My 1990 CD player does. In the end, they both sound
    very good. Nothing ventured...
