Red: I'd like to hear this one. I was living in Davis, California in summer/fall 1978 and saw Talking Heads in a small bar before they were famous. Place was sparcely filled until people started literally calling their friends on the pay-phone (remember those?) saying "you've GOT to get down here and see these guys!" Standing room only at the end, fantastic show. That probably less than a year before this boot from Berkeley just down the road from Davis. How's the SQ?rednedtugent wrote: »this ain't no party

^^^ And as I always understood it, AAD (or Analog, Analog, Digital) was always considered the best way to transfer to CD. I'm guessing a good German boot hopefully soundboard.
-
^^^ Red: I just ordered a live CD from Chicago August 28, 1978 pretty close to when I saw them. Live radio broadcast. We'll see how the SQ is. Still would like to hear your German boot sometime, likely better sounding

It sounds good!
You can hear diff nuances in their playing that keeps things interesting.^^^ Red: I just ordered a live CD from Chicago August 28, 1978 pretty close to when I saw them. Live radio broadcast. We'll see how the SQ is. Still would like to hear your German boot sometime, likely better sounding

The Talking Heads were touring like banshees back then, really grinding it out on the road in mostly real small venues. I think I saw them in September in Davis and they came back to Davis again in December only like three months later and played a coffee house! In between they crossed the country. It paid off. That was a very good period for their music.
