A feel good story.
Lenny Kaye was performing at our local record shop today for about 45min but today was my day to go and visit my father you can no longer drive. We go for lunch and run all his errands. My wife texted me and asked if I'd be home in time to maybe get my album signed. Sadly no I wouldn't make it back in time. I told her there will be another time. Cathy took the album cover and went over. After he finished the 1st song she held the cover up and asked him to sign it. He asked her to come forward and told the crowd this album was a bit of a rarity and singed it for me.

By the way my dad is responsible for my love of blues and soul music. He had a number of Ike & Tina Turner albums and I absolutely wore the grooves out on this one. I have my own versions of their LPs. Tina seems to pour every fiber of her soul into every song and Ike was a very gifted and underrated guitarist.Living Room
