I clean then rinse my vinyl. I find that if I just rinse a side by mistake the background
noise is obvious.

Now I feel silly having waited this long to finally use the Spinclean. I'm playing a Johnny Cash American Recording album that was before very poppy and crackly, sounds like a new record now. Used Nestle Pure Life water with 1 cap of the Spinclean solution, hand dried 90% with a microfiber cloth, then put in a dish rack to air dry the last 10% or so. Good use of money if you don't want to spend hundreds on a vacuum RCM, I don't regret buying it only waiting so long to use it.
