FS a very nice Luxman R 117 AM/FM stereo receiver. It is in ecellent condition and all function/controls/lights work as they should. The Luxnman R117 is kind of legend and considered one of the top receivers ever made. It is rated at 160 watts per channel with peak current of over 700 watts per channel into 2 ohms. The power supply is huge and the amp section is very much like the one in the NAD 7600. I have owned two NAD7600s and this Luxman is not as dark sounding nor as bass heavy as the NAD. It is more neutral and transparent. . This was one of the best 2 channel receivers of the late 80s - early 90s and sold for around $1200. Everything works as it should and it is in excellent condition with just a couple of scratches on top and a small ding .
Has Bass and Treble, Tone Defeat Subsonic filter, Balance, Three Postion Loudness, CD Direct (which sends the sgngal from the volume control right to the amp section)) . Has outputs for two sets of speakers, headphones and two preamp out and one main amp in jacks. Has inputs for CD,Phono ((MM/MC) Tape One, Tape Two, VCR 1, VCR 2 ,VDP, also a processor loop as well as video inputs for the video sources BUT just for switching. The tuner is one of the best of the 1980s with every option including wide/narrow and multipath indicator. This is a high quality 2 channel receiver for music. that rivals some seperates hence its repeutation. FYI It can take bananas but not in the usual way. You put them in from the top or bottom of the binding posts where you would put wire and they fit perfectly.
Check my feedback. Asking $375 Thanks

That was quick! Congrats to both the seller and the buyer!“Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'”
