RIP Gabriel Garcia Marquez

Along with music, books are my other great passion and yesterday was a sad day for me. My favorite writer of all time, the Colombian writer, Gabriel Garcia Marquez ("Gabo"), passed away yesterday at age 87 in Mexico City, where he had been living for the past 30 years.
Garcia Marquez won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1982 and was one of the greatest writers, not only of the 20th century, but of all time.
I have read all of his books and just finished reading his masterpiece, One Hundred Years of Solitude, in the original Spanish about 2 months ago. If you have not read this novel, go out and get a copy and read it. It is incredible (as is his other masterpiece, "Love in the Time of Cholera").
RIP, Gabo. Thanks for your magical prose and your extraordinary life.
Although your voice is now silent, your immortal words will live forever.
