I am going to try and hit the music stores this weekend as well. My local Half Price Books has a vinyl night every Friday, where all vinyl is 20% off. I like to stop in there at least one Friday a month. Their selection seems to be limited at times, however.Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant

What Store you gong to ?
Riding out to Lakewood, My Minds Eye. I'm going to try The Exchange after that. You headed out? -
I want the Grateful Dead, the Jimi Hendrix, and the Jimi Page+Black Crowes.Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.
-
Paul, I have a committment on Saturday but will likely send a surrogate with full proxie power. I'm curious about the Garbage single for one, Velvet Underground for another, have to look into the Hendrix wasn't aware of that. Strictly Discs is my choice also.
-
I'm also considering Jake Bugg Live, Johnny Winter Live Bootleg Series Special Edition, Gregory Issacs, Roots Radic, and even the Wayne Kramer which is jazz so I'm not sure about that but he is one heck of a guitarist. I see the Hendrix is the Monterrey festival which I actually had on 8-track at one time a thousand lifetimes ago, that is a real good concert from him, have to check if I have that or most of it on vinyl already. I may be thinking of the Otis Redding/Hendrix live album which I think was also Monterrey IRRC but not sure if it was highlights or the whole set.

I'll be hitting up Papa Jazz in Columbia, SC shooting to the Ray Parker Jr Ghostbuster RSD issue. If I don't get it there I may head up to Charlotte, NC and hit up Lunchbox Records.

It'll be interesting. Not sure how early I want to get there or how big the line will be.
Last year I got most of what I wanted online for face value after the fact. Except DMB which of course was 3 times the price.
This year the DMB is doubled in size for the release so it'll be easier to get. So essentially, I could probably get everything I want online after the fact, but want to do the whole "experience" thing this year.
I think if I go in without any crazy expectations, I'll have a good time.2 ChannelTurntable - VPI Classic 2/Ortofon 2M BlueAmplification - Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum II, Parks Audio Budgie PhonoSpeakers - GoldenEar Triton 17.2 Home TheaterDenon AVR-X3300W; Rotel RMB-1066; Klipsch RP-280F's, Klipsch RP-450C, Polk FXi3's, Polk RC60i; Dual SVS PB 2000's; BenQ HT2050; Elite Screens 120"Man CaveTurntable - Pro-Ject 2.9 Wood/Grado GoldAmplification - Dared SL2000a, McCormack DNA 0.5 DeluxeCD: Cambridge AudioSpeakers - Wharfedale Linton 85th Anniversary; LSiM 703; SDA 2A -

Over lunch hour I went down to a local record store in the town I work in and asked if they were going to be participating in the RSD. He said no, that even if he did they wouldn't send him much if anything because they do that according to size and he was too small. Ssssssss.
-
I've never been to one of these so I hope my small town state doesn't go crazy......HT/2Channel: Emotiva MMC-1, Adcom GFA-555II, Polk SDA 3.1's, Teac TN-300 TT, Polk Center and Sub.

Can't deal with crowds, guess I'm getting a little grouchy with age. Been to both and will return. Which Exchange ?
Sometimes it seems like a better option to just buy off $bay to not put up with it.
Probably Parma hts. Kinda figuring the crowd from mme will flow to the Lakewood store -
