I am selling my Denon DRA 1035R AM/FM stereo receiver. The DRA 1035R is rated at 130 watts per channel with peak current of over 400 watts per channel into 2 ohms. Features Toroidal transfomer with twin power supplies (40,000uf) and Denon Optical Class A operation. This was one of the best 2 channel receivers of the late 80s - early 90s and sold for around $1000. Every thing works as it should and it is in excellent condition with just a couple of scratches on top. The rotary controls have a very old school buttery feel to their action. I do not have the remote but universals run it. It came with the 770 learning remote but the RC 137 learning remote that came with the 835 is easier to find as is the basic RC 136. They can be found online for around $30
Has Bass and Treble, Balance, Variable Loudness, Source Direct (which bypasses all those items) Mono/Stereo/ Simulated Stereo. Has outputs for two sets of speakers, headphones and preamp out main amp in jacks. Has inputs for CD,Phono ((MM/MC) Tape One, Tape Two, VCR 1, VCR 2 ,VDP as well as video inputs for the video sources BUT just for switching. This is a high quality 2 channel receiver for music.
The sound is somewhat warm and natural. with strong bass I had the DRA1025R and it was more clincal and bright then this is. Also a nice sounding FM/AM tuner with many options for tuning. Asking $220 Thanks
PM me for pictures

+1 for these receivers. I have had the littler sister, DRA-835R, for many years now and it is a very respectable receiver. Obviously, the DRA-1035 is a step up. The DRA-835R will drive my LSi-15's all day long with no problem at all. Bass was solid and the temperature didn't seem much higher than driving my 8 ohm RTA-11TL's.
It is nice that the DRA-1035R has the MM/MC phono stage. I missed that when I switched from the DRA-825R to the DRA-835R.Stan

Ah man! I may need this receiver! Wanna trade for a pair of Transparent Biwire speaker cables?
How does the pot track at low volume? I had an 835R that was L/R imbalanced until about half-volume which was terrible. -
Need the cash and there is no gang error in the volume control . I would have mentioned it if it was a problem. It works as it should

Yours must have had a problem. My 835R only has a slight imbalance down very low where no one would ever listen. I only noticed it with headphones.Stan
