2 channel HT bypass

Since getting my Rogue Preamp back today and hooking I tip, I noticed it did not have a HT by-pass which is fine, but I would like to know if I can run another set of speaker cables to my main speakers that the Rogue is using..?
Meaning my 2 channel is using my Paradigms for music, but I want to still use them for HT so I would need to use my Yamaha and run a set of cables to the the Paradigms as well, the speakers are using the original jumpers so I can have 2 sets of speaker cables running to them without over crowding the binding posts..
I just won't have the Rogue powered up when I have the Yamaha powered on or would it matter unless it's a volume thing that is actually applying more power to the speakers or would having 2 sets of cables attached cause sone other issues I'm not aware of?
Thanks.
Jamie

Unfortunately you are going to need a selector switch or a disconnect.Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant

You can't connect the two amps to a single speaker. The Rogue output transformer secondary winding will be in parallel with the Yamaha output. There is no telling what kind of loading and frequency response problems you will get with such a hookup, but I suspect it won't be good. I would try using a high quality selector switch setup. You will always need to make sure both amps are powered down before switching.Main System: Denon DP-59L | Audio-Technica AT33EV | Marantz SA-11S2 | Classe DR-10 | Classe CA-300 | Classe RC-1 | PSB Stratus Gold i's | DIY Balanced AC Power Conditioner | Acoustic Zen and NeoTech cables | Oyaide and Furutech power connectors | Dedicated 20A isolated ground line.

If your receiver has pre outs, simply run the front main outs to one of the inputs on the Rogue. When you watch/listen to ht simply switch the Rogue to the input that is connected to the front main outs. When you first set it up turn the volume on the Rogue down and go to the setup menu on the receiver. Most ht recievers have a function that allows you to manually send test signals to each speaker. Sit in your normal listening position with a sound pressure meter (readily and reasonably available from rat shack) and measure the output level of each speaker at your listening position using the test signals and SPL meter. Adjust and fine tune the volume level on the Rogue until the sound level of the front mains is the same as the other speakers. Once you find that position on the volume level of the Rogue mark that position with a small sliver of tape, dot of paint, etc. When you watch ht, simply select the input with the front mains on the Rogue and turn the volume knob on the Rogue to the marked position. Then simply use the volume and controls from ht receiver from there out to watch ht. Its not near as difficult as it sounds.

Thanks Jeremymarcinko and Glen B..
Just to clarify I can't have two sets if speakers cables running from two different amps connected to the same speakers even if I only use one of the amps at a time and make sure the other amp is not on..?ATC SCM40's,VTL TL 2.5 Preamp,PSB Stratus Goldi's,McCormack DNA 500,McCormack MAP-1 Preamp,Pro-Ject Xtension 10 TT,Ortofon Cadenza Red/Nordost RedDawn LS Speaker cables, Bryston BDP-2, Bryston BDA-2,PS Audio AC-3 power cables -
Thanks Dawgfish..
I understand exactly what you mean as I have sort of already tried that..lol

Oh oh a brainstorm or flash flood I'm not sure since I can do it the way I was talking about, how about from the other direction, like bi-amping..
Except I run a set of bi-amp RCAs between the 2 preamps, my Rogue and McCormack or is that doing the same dumb thing?ATC SCM40's,VTL TL 2.5 Preamp,PSB Stratus Goldi's,McCormack DNA 500,McCormack MAP-1 Preamp,Pro-Ject Xtension 10 TT,Ortofon Cadenza Red/Nordost RedDawn LS Speaker cables, Bryston BDP-2, Bryston BDA-2,PS Audio AC-3 power cables -
Here's a list of the upgrades the a Rogue has as per my communication with the seller..
Modifications:
The Rogue modified preamp is a highly
modded version of the popular 99 model. It has been totally transformed
from the original design including an Alps volume control.
The Alps is
spectacular but there is 1 caveat. It negates the remote control which
although handy compromises the sonic presentation. Very nice pre with 4
NOS 6SN7 tubes in the circuit. Two RCA and 2 Sylvania tubes.
RHB Sound Dezign Mods
1. Signal Gain Stage Mod:
Consists of hand wired circuit board to control Triode bias actively.
2. Output Buffer Stage Mod:
Consists of hand wired circuit board to actively follow Triode without
linearity distortion while offering a low impedance output.
3. Signal Wire Mod:
Replaces printed circuit traces in critical signal paths with premium
hand wired gold on silver multi gauge wire.
4. Output Coupling Capacitor Mod:
Replaces existing capacitors with (Rave Review V-cap) high quality
Teflon caps to carry signal to output jacks.
5a. Power Supply Mod A:
Replaces existing storage capacitor with premium type (typically Black
Gate). Incorporate our hand wired circuit modification to existing
power supply circuit.
5b. Power Supply Mod B:
Same as above but replace manufacturers design with our own in house
design hand wired circuit board power supply.ATC SCM40's,VTL TL 2.5 Preamp,PSB Stratus Goldi's,McCormack DNA 500,McCormack MAP-1 Preamp,Pro-Ject Xtension 10 TT,Ortofon Cadenza Red/Nordost RedDawn LS Speaker cables, Bryston BDP-2, Bryston BDA-2,PS Audio AC-3 power cables
