Greetings!

For sale is my Benchmark DAC 1. These don't come up for sale too often on the Forum. An exceptional DAC that is also a headphone amp. It's the rack mount version in black and in excellent cosmetic and operational condition. I am the second owner. It comes with the original box, packing and documentation. I will attach actual photos later tonight.

Price $525 shipped. Paypal preferred, if you "friend" me the payment, there should be no fees.

I don't know why this isn't gone yet, either. For the price of "dime-a-dozen" DAC's, you get a highly rated/respected DAC.

I might sell mine in the future since I also have a DAC1 Pre. Of course, I also recently tried to sell a Bryston BDA-1 for $950 and had no nibbles. Everybody wants the best, but don't want to pay for it. They would rather buy something cheap and pretend it is good.

I know I am firmly planted in the world of mid-fi, but I have scraped to have the meager gear I own. I'm not crying about it, and I would be more than willing to drop the coin to have this if I had it. But there is no reason to be calling people cheap or poseurs.

Yes. I poorly phrased that. My apologies to the OP. The DAC1 is a great DAC, and the price is perfect. It was my first DAC, and I still use it for a headphone amp at work.

He didn't call anyone cheap or a poseur..

This is a great DAC for the money, I almost went with one before I decided I wanted a W4S DAC2, and that cost me three times the asking price he is asking, you can't beat this deal.

The price is cheap, the DAC is not..

Thanks folks for all the kind words about the DAC 1. Great Dac for a fair price. It sold for more on eBay. I would have rather sold it here amongst friends.

Mods, please mark this as SOLD!!!
