I was just kind of wondering this
I first heard polks when they DX's were first coming out
I then heard the DB's and the GNX's shortly after
then the momos
When did Polk first get into the car audio market?(year)
and I'm going to try to put a collection of their series together to the best of my knowledge in order that i think they came out
mobile monitor
DB
DX
GNX
MOMO
new DB
new MOMO
it seems to me that there are some series that im missing that i currently cant think of...

The EX3 series replaced the DX series? I thought the GNX series was supposed to have replaced the DX series? Where does teh GNR series fall in line? I know they didn't last real long and weren't a big seller.

What about the GNR series? Or were they something that Polk Audio would like to forget?

Sorry, I meant GXR not GNR.

    My mistake.

MM's were and still are far superior sounding speakers then anything since or now by Polk :)

    I love my MM 6.5's:cool:

Nah, I've heard them and while the old MM series is as good as you say it was, it is not better than anything since or now by Polk. The older dB series has the Mobile Monitor series beat, hands down.

Ive never heard the old DB series but for me, the Momo is the best Polk around. They are as accurate and clean a speaker as Ive ever heard. My only complaint and the only reason Im thinking of upgrading is they dont seem to have as much detail as Ive heard in MB Quarts or Focals or even Diamonds. Nothing major but for my taste in music I need an **** load of detail. But when you consider the Momos performance with their under $300 price tag, Polk/Momo may be the finest speaker out there dollar for dollar.
