SDA SRS 2.3TL w/RDO 198 Tweeters

After much internal struggle, I have come to the realization that I do not have the proper listening area for my 2.3's. So, it is time for them to move on to someone who can properly utilize them. They are in GREAT shape, all midwoofers working properly and in good physical condition. The tweeters have been upgraded to the RDO 198's and have about 100 hours on them. The grills and side cloths are in great shape with no tears or stains. The wood tops are in excellent condition as well.

I have also purchased the items needed to complete further upgrades including Gimpod Boards and Larry's Rings. There is also a sheet of Dynamat Xtreme for the baskets.

I am asking $1100 for the speakers alone. If you want the upgrade materials, it will be an additional $200.

I am ilistening to offers on partial trades on these. I would be interested in a pair of LSi15's (or other tower speakers to replace my SDA's), a Tube preamp, or a nice CDP.

I will be taking new pics to post later today. The last pics I took were spotty and made it look like there was discoloration on the speaker grills which is not the case at all.

    Wow, when it rains it pours. That's the 3rd set of 2.3TL's that have been offered for sale lately. $1100 with new RD-0198's is a good price - glwts!

    I have a mint set of 15TL's and sold my 2.3's to SDA1c due to small space. I like my 15's but, they are no comparison to the big boys.

    I doubt I'll find ANYTHING that will compare to the 2.3's. Especially not at the same price point. I just hat that they aren't able to live up to their potential in my living room.

    With 198s, upgraded crossovers using Decato's mods, hurricane nuts, armacell, JB Weld on the magnets and dynamatted the baskets.

    Those would be about ideal for what I am looking for. I have the rings, boards and Dynamat for the SDA's. I have caps and resistors too, but they aren't the "uiltra high-end"

    To be perfectly honest I was hoping a nice pair would come up near me. Still kicking myself for not jumping on Charley's thought for sure there would not be anymore close NOW ALL THESE....Killin me I'm so broke for this deal....

    I'm stoked to demo 2 pairs of speakers I like to compare to my 11TL's.... So I dont need to wonder "what if".... SDA 2.3TL's and RTA 15TL's on my gear, in my house with my music..... thats pretty hard to beat.... oh wait..... at no cost to me.....

    What I do need to do is buy me some moving men lol..... None of those guys (except my 11TL's) are that easy to move lol....

    Trust me it will be easier to move the 2 ch gear downstairs for the demos than moving the 2.3TL's upstairs. Good job guys on getting together and making a deal happen as well as kudos to Dan for helping to facilitate it.

    Dan- after you hear the 2.3's, I think you will understand better why I want another pair....
