Jolida JD100 CD Player

A forum member gave me a great deal on this Jolida JD100 CD player so I will pass it on to the next Polkie. This is the silver edition and has been modded by Hot Rod Audio with the Reference Level modification found here:

Also included are Sylvania 5751 tubes purchased here from Snow:

This was the best CD player I have ever owned for sure. Very involving and musical. Sounds analog!

I can't argue that point. I asked...more like suggested to Michael Allen, the owner of Jolida that he add SACD playback. He said why, SACD is dead. Another really dumb move there bucko.

I've heard almost zero talk about this new piece, which means they are not selling. IMO, it's butt ugly and it still doesn't do SACD.
I remember being at Jolida one time and walking into the back with a tech to look at something. That area joined the warehouse, which had thousands of JD100's stacked on pallets. They were selling the dickens out of them. So, why does a business discontinue a product that is selling that well???Political Correctness'.........defined
