has anyone seen Ian Anderson/Jethro Tull recently?

I just learned today that Ian Anderson is coming to my hometown (Albany, NY) in November and I was wondering if anyone has seen him perform lately.

The show is entitled, "The Best of Jethro Tull," and from the little I can find online about the show, it seems that he will be performing his new album ("Homo Erraticus," due out April 14) in its entirety as well as Jethro Tull classics.

I know this is not the classic Jethro Tull band (I saw Tull back in the early 1980s at MSG in NYC and they rocked!) but I was wondering if it would be worth going to the concert.

Thanks.

I would have to go, Back in the day i was not a huge buyer of tull albums, although "Living in the Past" was among my first couple music purchases, and entranced me, but the other music has grown on me so much over the years, just the artistry.

Lately the song, "Life is a love song" would be enough to go see.

Hope you go, let us know if you do

It took me a while to warm up to Thick as a Brick 2 because of the absence of Martin Barre, a concert buddy of mine when I lived over In Germany went to Ian Anderson's TAAB 2 concert at the Castle Garden in Bruchsal Germany during that tour and said it was one heck of a show. If I were you I would go even if your a casual fan of Tull or Ian's solo stuff. I would go if I had a chance.

Be interesting what kind of show he puts on today. I saw him (them) in 1990 I believe. Scotty you thinking of Life Is A Long Song maybe? That song is on his 2003 Live From Montreux blu-ray concert one of the best concerts I own, highly recommended if you're a fan.
