RT 16 Floor Standers - What spikes should I buy?

I've been a long time user of a pair of Polk RT16 floor standing speakers and am loving the experience for the last 20 odd years! After reading about spikes more and more in these forums, most people are suggesting I've been missing out for this whole time and should buy spikes to sit my speakers on.

Can anyone recommend what spikes to purchase for these speakers? My local HiFi shop isn't there anymore and am looking for the right advice before I head out to purchase some. These speakers are on floorboards more often than not.

Regards,

Brass or stainless steel are my choice. You'll need floor discs to protect your hardwood floor.

There are like 50 shapes and sizes. ... or am I imagining it? I'm hoping to understand size/model floor spikes if you can help? the bottom of the RT16 has some weird shaped nut where the spikes obviously slot into.
