Cool worst case scenario.......I personally don't know of anyone that plays their system in a totally empty room though. Everything in your room hard or soft has a directing/reflecting/absorbing effect on your sound. Furniture and carpet make the most difference in a hard surfaced room. Most parallel surfaces could use some treatment, especially on side and back walls.

Anyone that has ever spent any time in an anechoic chamber can attest to what happens when too much absorption is done. You own heartbeat becomes something straight out of a Poe novel.......

The largest component in any home theater/music room is the room itself!

I treated my room several years ago with several GIK wall panels and corner traps. The difference was mind blowing.
Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.
