SDA SRS 2.3TL Speaker Pair in NC

We will be moving in the near future, so it is time to let go of these beloved SDA SRS 2.3TL’s.

This pair is in good condition and all drivers work perfectly. They have aftermarket spikes from PartsExpress. The IC cable is included.

Polkie price is $900.

Pictures coming soon. The rest of my 2-channel gear will be up for sale in the near future. I would like to sell the speakers 1st, and then the components.

Local pick-up would be best, but if you can’t make it to the beautiful foothills of North Carolina then I may be able to meet you somewhere. PM me with your thoughts.

Thanks,
Eric.

Do you have Larry's Rings for these? I thought I had a set that I gave you when you purchased, but my memory is foggy at best.

The rings were sold with all of the crossover components when I decided not to upgrade these.

Anyone compared the 2.3TL's with 1C's? I am not too far away and am having one of those what if moments.

No contest as far as I am concerned 2.3TL's are the best sounding speaker. Just throw some clean power to them and you will be in heaven. Eric is a stand up guy. Buy with confidence. Also the price is superb he is almost giving them away.

My stock 2.3TL's blew away my modded SDA-1C.

These speakers sound amazing. The grill cloths are not perfect. In sunlight you can see some imperfections. The tops look decent, but they show some wear. No big scratches or anything like that. I will post some pictures in the next few days. Conservatively rated 6/10 on the Agon scale. All drivers function properly and the SDA "push test" reveals very good results.

Regrets? Absolutely will regret selling these...but it will be fun building another 2-channel system later down the road (hopefully in a dedicated audio room). My H/T system makes a decent 2-channel dual purpose system with my SDA-2B and VMPS sub.

These are legendary speakers in my book.

Will be looking forward to the pictures. I have a pair of unmodded 1-C"s that I bought from Treitz3 several years ago so the comparison would be interesting.

There's a lot of Polkie history with those 1C's.

They came from MillerLiteScott, I took them down to Carverfest where I and everyone else including Bob Carver rubbed their dingus on them, then Tom took them home with him.

Get the 2.3TL's, there is no comparision.

I didn't realize my speakers had seen such action :) I don't know if I overpaid or underpaid now that I know more of their history.

    Underpaid for sure.

Let me tell you, the 1C's running on an all tube rig (Joule, Manley, Jolida) with MIT cables and PS Audio power cords left most of those guys slack jawed. It was great and I was pleased that they were able to get their ears on something other than Carver gear. It really opened some ears.

Did Bob actually leave DNA on these? I wish I had a pic of Bob with my amps at the very moment 6 450v 470uf caps shot their load at him. If he had hair still, if would have blown straight out ala Doc Brown.

Sure wish I had the cash.... those would go well with my 3.1tl's. Would it be greedy to have a couple sets in my house?

SDA 2.3 TLs are right up there at the top of the SDA chain.

And that is a good price...so any Polkies with the cash, and within a few hundred miles of these, should run and get them.

Wow, there's been a few SDA 2.3s showing up for sale lately. I know I would have grabbed a pair mysef as they are at the top of my wish list, but unfortunately all have been out West or down South, just too far from upstate NY.

I just finished a pair of 2.3TL's that now share time with my 3.1TL's and some 1C's. So, yes it would be greedy:biggrin:

    pglbook,
I have a couple of really nice SDA's, if I decide to sell a pair, I will let you know first, I know how hard they can be to find in upstate.

To the OP, great speaker and a great price IMO. someone should buy these up quick.

Yes, he did. He also drooled all over the Manley amp.

Chandler: Thanks. I appreciate that. Please definitely keep me in mind if you ever do decide to part with any of your SDAs. I currently have a set of SDA 2BTLs but would love to get a pair of 2.3TLs some day. And they are hard to find in our area. I had to drive to PA to get my 2Bs. Thaks again.

Quite honestly your prices are right in line. If I wasn't between full time jobs, both the 2.3s and your Anthem Pre would be mine right now. I'm having a second interview with a firm tomorrow morning. If things work out there's a really good chance I'll be talking to you about both items if they are still available in the not too distant future.
