Thank you Scott for bringing this to our attention. Very sad day indeed, I can't think of another Hollywood legend that had such a long and fulfilling career. Mickey basically had roles in movies from 1926 to 2013 and was to start a new movie ( Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde) in March 2014. I'm not sure if he actually got any scenes shot. That's a record that will never be broken. Thanks for the memories Mickey, R.I.P.

Odd timing--Just watched "Night at the Museum" with my boys on Friday and was talking about 'the old guys'. I pointed out Dick Van **** and talked about his show from the early 1960's. Then the camera cut to Mickey Rooney, and I said "and that man was making movies in the 1920s!"

    That's a heck of a career.
