I will be picking up a nice pair of 2.3 TLs next weekend for $500. I know, it's no score but it seems to me the prices are moving up on these. Did I do ok?

That is a great deal. Heck, anything under a grand for SDA 2.3TLs is a good deal, imho.

    You got a steal.

    Congrats and enjoy!

Just paid $700 two weeks ago and two of the tweeters were blown! Great deal on a great set of speakers. i would upgrade the tweeters to the RDO-198 from polk. Makes a big improvement in SQ. I also replaced the large low pass inductor which had a noticeable improvement in bass impact and mid range performance. Search these forums for tips and tricks.

Yeah, you did REALLY well for yourself. Plenty of room in the value for you to do all the upgrades and still be under what they're worth.

    I must agree. It's a screaming deal.
I recently got a pair of pretty good (but not perfect) non TL 2.3s
And I will keep looking for a local, near perfect pair of 2.3tls to replace them with.
    You did incredible on them.

If it were RI, same state means short distance.
You can drive over 13 hours and still be within Texas. I've done that.

Be careful moving them and transport them flat on their backs, and get the cable and manual

    Absolutely!

And be careful of the binding posts when doing that.

I prefer to carry 2 comforters in the back of my truck with the speakers drivers down (grills on) on them. I don't want any magnets falling off or shifting.

I've done this a couple of times before with my 2.3s.

Piece o' cake! That's what I drove to get mine. Will say thank god for hand trucks and gravity! Otherwise I could never have moved 'em into the house solo.
