Last night I was relaxing down in the Opium den listening to some SRV when my hall light blinked (hooked to the doorbell) I was suprised to see a couple old buddies had come to visit with Frankensence, Mirh and beer.
I lead them downstairs and in a matter of seconds my one buddy say's..."I love this room...and GAWD does it sound good!"
Then my buddies buddy say's, "Yeah, really cool sound, I am suprised...Polk is such a poor man's speaker...who woulda thought?"
This of course from a guy that has no system at all.

Needless to say, after they left, I was happy as hell to climb back in my den and live the live of Riley...Me, SRV, and my poor man's Polks. Ahhh, it's good to be white trash! :D

    You should have pressed him to get his thoughts on what an "upscale richman's" speaker is.

    Probably something like...BOSE! LOL! :p

    I'll take my poor man's SRS 2.3's any day of the week.

    He will be the first one I call when I upgrade to the LSi series this year, and let him know my S10's are for sale at some ridiculiously high price! BWAHAHAHAHAHAAA:D

    I would have immediately thrashed him, forced him to blow my neighbors dog, while I sat back with a beer and shot bottle rockets at him.

    "Poor man's speaker" would have infuriated me.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    Polk is such a poor man's speaker
    It is unlikely that a "poor man" will ever become a "rich man" by foolishly spending more money than is necessary to achieve a goal. Conversely, many "rich men" have become "poor men" by doing just that!
