I decided to break up the bare walls behind my speakers in the unconventional way, as this is my living room and not a 2ch or ht only room. I made these 3' x 4' panels with sanded ply and framed in 1"x3" red oak. Using red oak and maple boards from depot in varying sizes, I sanded every piece from 120g to 400 then used satin poly in several coats. When dry I rubbed each piece with wet 800 then 0000 steel wool. The wife like sit so it's a win win for me

Very nice looking! They will do more diffusing than bare walls, but will still probably be fairly reflective.

They look great sands, do they make a very noticeable difference from your listening position? I've thought about getting some diffusers and experimenting with them on various walls and possibly the ceiling.

Thanks all, I don't know if they made an audible difference, part of me says yes and the other part says a psycho accoustic change was made. Either way, it doesn't sound worse. Yes B run, they are the Venere 2.5's, love the look of these puppies. I came from LSi9's that I didn't appreciate till I took em out of the room. Not sayin the Venere's aren't good, just sayin the 9's are really really good. I have some flabby midrange in my room right now that I need to correct. Just getting my REW set up and I need to work with placement and possibly changing my dissimilar subs
