If one was to put a pair SDA 2BTLs and a pair of SDA CRS+TLs in a room and compare them what would be the differences one might hear??

Deeper bass from the 2 at the expense of the greater transparency of the CRS+.

^^^Agreed, there simply isn't any comparison to the soundstages of those separated mid designed SDAs, unless you have a shrunken head and then the side by side mids would sound better I guess.....I don't know, I've always had a big head.

Agreed as well. But the CRS+tl's are no slouch in bass either..

That has to be by design too, the passive facing to the rear actually boosts the bass with wall reflections helping out. Just like pointing your sub box in the trunk of your car to the rear adds a ton of boost over facing into the rear of your back seat.

I would assume the CRS sound much bigger then they are?? Morer transparent? Expand on that?

I can tell you that with my TL'ed CRS+'s including the Solen 16mH inductor, there is no lack of bass!
Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

Any SDA models that have the separated drivers like the CRS/SRS lineup have a better soundstage than those models that have the mids placed against each other side by side. This has to do with the width between your ears, according to Polk. The separation of the center of the mids coincide with the space between your ears. That few inches makes the speaker disappear easier and the soundstage presented is wider and more defined at the same time.
