Like new. Seriously. Grills still in plastic. Easy 9/10. Have boxes, packaging, and manuals... but these are pickup/cash only. I can deliver within a reasonable distance, but no shipping.

$1500.

Worth the upgrade from Lsi15 and still keep the LsiC as center?

I just made this exact upgrade and the 705's *almost* made me weep when i heard them. I can't speak to the center channel question.

I find the 705's somewhat better but I don't think it's an order of magnitude better (just my 2 cents). The LSi 15's are no slouch. The LsiC should work fine with the 705's even though they are not timbre matched. Obviously, it depends on how critical your ear is. You can always upgrade to the LSiM 704c later since it is exactly the same size.

I prefer my 703's to my modded LSi15, so I'd say definitely worth the upgrade. Worst case, the LSiC would work until you can pick up a 704 or 706. (And I should have 706 for sale very soon...just sayin.)

I agree that the 705 is a step up from the -15's. I had the 15's and found them to be excellent rear surrounds and nothing more.

    Bump!

I listen to music exclusively with mine and there's no comparison between 15 and 705s. The 705s are better in every way. I am done looking for upgrades now, I've found my audio nirvana.

LOL... thats because your fronts were SDA 2.3's..... I find the 15's are good, but I imagine the 705's are a BIG step up. I am sticking with my 15's because I am too poor to upgrade, and my downstairs setup is mostly for HT so it works fine.

Cool, let me know. I would definitely consider South Jersey within reasonable distance for delivery/meet halfway.

Since we're close, I'm trying to talk a buddy at work into buying these. We went to a Crutchfield sale last night, and he was interested in some nice towers, but didn't want to spend a ton on them. So this might be perfect, and I'll let you know.

One question, would he be able to drive these with an AVR for the near-term? I noticed these are now 8 ohm, but wasn't sure if you'd still want to avoid using only an AVR to drive them.

Yes. These are very easy to drive. They will obviously sound better with real power, but any modern receiver will get them movin.
