Looking to pass along my 7 speakers. It took me a while to build this setup on the used market, but it's time to downsize. Here's what I have:

RT800i (pair) Black, very good condition - $225
CSi40 Black, very good condition - $125
FXi50 (pair) Black, excellent condition - $200
RT35i (pair) Black, very good contition - $150

Would consider package deal for $600.

Prefer local pickup in Central PA, but would consider shipping if necessary. All have been great, driven by a Denon AVR-988 Receiver since I owned them in our home theater. I am not the original owner of any of these but believe I'm the second owner of all. They've been mine for around 7-8 years.

This is my first time selling in the forums, and I want to make sure it's not my last!

Pics were taken with an iphone. Will try to get better pictures without the dust! Sorry no pics of the 35s yet. They're still in use!

PM sent. I'm in State College. Understand on the 800s. They are nice, but a little overwhelming in our small space. It's sad to see that the parts are going for twice what the full speakers are going for on ebay... Hate to part them out! The CSi40 is a BEAST, and the FXi50s are so nice too! Haven't really given the 35s the full test since they've been mounted as rear surrounds since I got them.

I get to Harrisburg every now and then and my company is based out of Philly, but I don't get there that often. When I do it's usually carpooling, so hauling speakers might not be an option!

OK, I finally got around to getting some better pictures. I took the grilles off and thoroughly dusted and cleaned every nook & cranny on the speakers. They look so nice I am seriously having second thoughts on selling! I'd like theses to go to someone here who knows what they are getting.

AdamRagland has first dibs for now.

The only minor flaws are a couple very minor scratches, one of the towers has some scuffing (looks like it could be polished out) on one side, and the same tower has a minor peeling on the top right. It looks like the trim has a plastic coating that is peeling. It could probably be glued back down and you'd never notice it. You may be able to see it in the pictures - top right of the tower on the left. Also, the other tower had the tweeter replaced by Polk by the previous owner. I believe it is the same except for the color (it's silver as opposed to the dull grey). I believe the towers originally came with carpet spikes, but I do not have them.

Other than that, these speakers are darn near perfect and sound great. They really 'shine' in these new pictures taken last night.

    Where is the RTI's?

I guess maybe I should have put "RT series speakers, circa early 2000s". I didn't give a thought that there would obviously be confusion with the current RTI series. I've always distinguished the older RT (CS & FX) speakers having the blue cones as the ones with "i" in the model. Probably my bad for always referring to my speakers generically as RT(i)'s!

To quell any confusion the thread title may cause, these are:

    RT800i tower speakers
    CSi40 center speaker
    FXi50 bipole/dipole surrounds
    RT35i bookshelf speakers

    New prices...

    RT800i's - $200
    CSi40 - $100
    FXi50's - $175

Package deal for the 800s, the FX's and the CS = $450

RT35i's - Really don't want to sell, but may consider $125...

Prefer local pickup, but would entertain delivery within 100 miles of State College, PA. Might also consider shipping all but the 800s at buyers expense (actual shipping and packing materials). Will pack carefully with foam and double box.

Questions/offers, don't hesitate to PM me!

FXi50's SOLD to kuntasensei and will ship tomorrow!

Still available (and last price drop):

RT800i's - $175 (local pickup only... can't imagine it would be cost effective to ship).
CSi40 - $100 (Local pickup) OR $125 MAX (shipped to CONUS) - will charge the lesser of the two (actual shipping or $25)
RT35i's - Again, will likely keep unless someone really wants them - $125 (local pickup) or $150 MAX (shipped to CONUS).

    Thanks! - Al

Thanks again. Hope you get many years of enjoyment out of them. You have been GREAT to deal with.

Got the FXi50s today. Well packed, condition is exactly as described (damn near mint!), and scubalab shipped them out quickly. Can't wait to hook them up and give 'em a try tonight. Smooth transaction, and I would recommend scubalab as a seller.

kuntasensei - Thanks for the kind words! Glad everything worked out. I owe YOU a big thanks for making my first sale on the forum as easy as could be.

Now... let's get these other speakers in new homes!

The CSi40 is near mint too! - $100 local pickup or $125 delivered to CONUS is a great price - someone snatch this up!

RT800i - Pickup or reasonable delivery in Central PA - $165 (that price stings a little...)

RT35i - Pickup for $115 or $140 delivered to CONUS.

Nice price on the RT800i towers. I sold mine recently to a friend that wanted them for a system I was putting together for him. I replaced them with a pair of RT55i bookshelf speakers that are now sitting on top of my subs. I don't suppose you're planning a drive to Erie or vicinity in the near future are you?

    Carl,

I'll actually be in Mercer Saturday - Sunday (this weekend). I did get a bunch of hits today from some CL ads I have. I have an offer for all of them but I won't believe it until the money's in my hands! The guy has been texting me, but is yet to call. If they don't sell, were you interested in any in particular? Or did you want ALL of them?

I'll shoot you a PM as well.

    Thanks,

Always wanted to try me a pair of the RT55i's! Heard they're very similar to the 800's just in a smaller cabinet. Did you find the sound very close to your 800's?

IMO they don't go quite as low as the 800s, but with 2 subs I can't tell the difference. They have the exact same drivers in them as the 800s do. I may be interested in either the 800s or the 35s. I'll think about it and call you if they aren't sold to your buyer in Harrisburg. The 55s actually give me more floor space because they're sitting on top of the subs. If we meet in Mercer or Meadville, I'd have to skip out on my tee time on Sunday. Post in the thread if you sell them tomorrow.

Carl - The buyer in Harrisburg was unresponsive all day (after texting me we had a deal first thing in the morning). As I expected, at 9:30 tonight, he texted me that he changed his mind. God I hate dealing with some folks on Craigslist! Anyway, I had someone actually call me today interested in the entire set (next in line). I'll touch base with him tomorrow and if I don't get a good feeling about his commitment, consider the 800s yours. If that happens, I'll post here in the forum and you can give me a call. I'm sure we can work something out so as not to interfere with the golfing !

    Thanks,

Do you still have these or are they sold? I forgot to call you tonight. I'm still interested in the 35s. I'm happy with my RT55i pair as my mains, but if you still have the 800s, I might be tempted at that price. Do you have the floor spikes for the 800s?

I missed the part about you not having the carpet spikes in the earlier post. Not a big deal. My friend may not be using them on the ones I sold him.

Also, I have a pair of RT38i bookshelves that are almost exactly the same size as the 35s, except for being an inch deeper, if you might want to swap them for the 35s. The 35s are an exact cabinet and driver match for the system I have listed in my sig, where the 38s finish is the same as the center and surrounds you're selling. If a trade isn't in the cards, I'm still interested.

    Carl,

I did get a local offer for the full set of 5 speakers for my asking price of $400 that I just couldn't pass up. The buyer showed up and bought them about a half hour ago. Sorry this didn't work out! The trade would have definitely been worth it to me. Personally, I like the finish on the CSi40 and the FXi50's that I had better than the finish on the RT800i's and the RT35i's. You're right, the RTi38's are nearly identical to the RT35i's but with the nicer (in my opinion) finish.

Anyway... again I'm so sorry this didn't work out, but perhaps our paths may cross in the future. If you ever sell your RT55i's, let me know. I've always wanted a pair for a modest 2-channel music rig!

    Thanks,
    -Al (scubalab)
