I have Dolby home theater v4 on my laptop when i listen to music of my pc i usually run the audio through this software to pinpoint my listening preferences. Is anyone else out their using this or some other software? I play music that I've copied off of my cd's so i try to maintain the sound quality. I also use spotify instead of pandora, i feel pandora music quality sounds worse than spotify's. Thoughts on this? any recommendations on other software or streaming music services?

JRiver is the best IMO when it comes to managing and playing back a music collection on a Windows device. It has a great combination of features, ease of use, and sound quality. On a Mac I prefer the simplicity of iTunes with Amarra running on top of it to handle the audio portion. iTunes w/Amarra on my Macs is the best sound quality and general music playback experience I've had on any computer, ever.
I would expect Spotify to sound better than Pandora given the bitrate, so no surprise there, though I don't listen to either one. -
Thank guys I'll have to look into the jriver software most of my music comes from my laptop so I'm trying to get the best possible audio playback . I thought I would be shunned for listening to streaming audio lolYamaha V1800 receiver along with a NAD 2600a and 2700a .
