I am looking at converting my theater room from 6.1 to 7.1. Based upon the pictures in my system showcase how should i arrange the side and rear speakers? i would like to keep the RT55 in the back if possible since i own them and what speakers would pair up well as the additional 2 rear speakers(rt55) since i am using a center channel as the sixth speaker?

Based on your current setup, I would say another set of 55s if you have the room, or FX500is from that same period would work well.

unfortunately i only have about 3 feet on each side of the couches so not sure if i could put another set of speaker stands in. I would like to wallmount something if that would work or in walls for side effects? if so do i put the speakers in the middle of the room or 3/4 of the way back and move the rear speakers in more?

The 55is are pretty big to wall mount, you might be better off with the smaller FX speakers. The good news is that they are less $$ too.

here is a thought i was having, if i keep my rt55i for the fronts with the CS400 and do FXI6 for the sides and rears would that be better than doing FXI6 sides and rt55i for the rear?
