My new NAD C275BEE arrived Monday. I have been using the amp section of a NAD C370 with a Dared SL-2000A. I posted a long time ago that I had a hum with this setup due to the high gain of the Dared and the relatively low input impedance of the NAD.

The C275 has a variable input that solved the problem. I can’t hear any hum at all unless I put my ear right up to the tweeter. I also have use of most of the volume knob now. With the old amp, 9:00 to 10:00 on the volume knob was ear-splitting. Now 2:00 to 3:00 is about the same level. Makes the remote for the Dared much more usable.

Besides the hum issue, the C275 just sounds better. The C370 was no slouch but the C275 has tighter, better controlled bass and smoother upper mids. Now I just need to read up on the music threads and find some new CD’s to buy.
