I have started a thread for suggestions on XLR cables to connect my future components.
one of the member mentioned in his suggestions that Halo products from parsound are not completely balanced.

Today morning 9:30 1 sent a email to Parasound sales dept asking for the clarification whether their halo products are fully balanced.

3:00 pm i got a email directly from Richard Scharm himself....

Thank you for your message.

The JC 2 is fully balanced from input to output.
The A 51 is not fully balanced from input to output. It is fully complementary symmetry, John Curl's preferred topology for a high power amp that weighs less than 150 lbs. The balanced inputs on the A 51 preserve all the same CMRR advantages of a fully balanced design and it is capable of driving much lower impedance loads. The above is the same for the JC 1.

To get the most out of a JC 2 you would use it with JC 1s. Of course that assumes your budget permit and you have enough room for two big amps instead of one.
However, the A 51 is so outstanding that you will hear a marked improvement with the JC 2.
It might have already occured to you: if your L and R speakers have separate LF and HF terminals you can use four channels of an A 51 to bi-amp them. (leave the 5th channel disconnected).

Thanks for your kind words and please do not hesitate to call on me if I can be of further assistance.

Kind regards,

Richard Schram
President

It might not be big deal reponding to emails but this does say a lot about their business model.

In the current degrading consumer market standards I feel comfortable to see companies once in a while trying to perserve the standards.

Yes, I was pleasantly surprised, too, to have responses directly from Richard Schram on my questions about their gear. seems like a genuine fellow - he helped me work out a few things even though he knew I was working with second hand equipment, which they obviously don't make anything on and aren't obligated to assist with. I like my Parasound gear. I'm huge on customer service, so this sort of response and treatment goes a long way with me and brand loyalty.

Its means a lot for me... when i buy products form places like costco i dont second guess and i dont mind paying couple of $ more than out side... i dont have to do a long reasrch on price or the quality, as i know they will take care of me if something goes wrong.....

I have had similar experience with Parasound (Richard Schram) when I emailed questions about my old HCA-800II and C/PT-600. There will be more Parasound in my future.

I'm a fan. I've got 2 2200II's. My tech was able to talk with John Curl about what he would do to upgrade it (my tech also has a 2200). You can't beat that. They definitely are into customer support with there vintage stuff. I absolutely love my amps. If I upgrade my pre, it's going to be a Parasound.

I'll chime in as well... when I had my 1200 Mk. II, I was looking for either a set of rack handles, or possibly a new face plate. On a whim, I shot an email to Parasound, on a Saturday morning, and received a reply later in the day, about such a trivial thing, from Schram, as well as a follow up question from him on Sunday.
I wondered at the time, if maybe all correspondence from the company carried his name as a matter of form..... it would appear not. There are so many great stories about Parasound. Such a great thing in this day and age of phone menus and overseas tech support.

Simply put, Parasound earned my respect.

Which is why they are one of a few most recommended amps around here. Not only because of their CS, but also build quality and they sound damn good too. Polk and Parasound go together like PB&J.
