1) Has anyone heard one, and what are your thoughts?

2) Is anyone familiar with the Anthem "house-sound"?

Thanks,
Paul

Rick88 used to have one, I would PM him to get his thoughts. Same with mrbiron, though he just had one of their pre's.

Thanks, Dan I'll check with him.

The guy at my local hi-fi said they don't have any in stock, but that the house sound from Anthem is detailed/forward.

    Anyone else?

    Dan, are you stalking me?
Integrated 225 is basically my MCA20 with a built in pre.

I currently have my MCA20 hooked up to my Peachtree (experiment/doing in house demo on thursday to sell) playing through the Omens. Like Rick said, the Bass.....the Bass is awesome! The rest of Ricks words are spot on. Definitely an all around contender.

Also considering a Musical Fidelity A5, but they don't come up too often.

The Anthem 225 is currently available.

For good reason - and when they do, they go quick!

I told the seller I would let him know by tomorrow.

I'm assuming 310W into 4ohms would be fine with my LSi15's? I have a fairly large space to fill at about 900 sq ft, though my listening position is only about 15 ft away.

Honestly only one way to "really" know and thats try it out, but I am betting you'd be fine.

Worse case, add a sub with a y cable from the pre-outs and roll it in where you think you need the help in the lower registers.....

My hot rodded Carver M1.0t fills a MUCH larger room than yours with more than enough sound. Scaling that down to your sized room and wattage, I am sure you will fill the room as loud as you want.

Have you db modded your 15's yet?

I had one and for the features and power it is a good bang for the buck The remote is great I found the sound to be somewhat dry ( not the only one) but then again I was comparing it to and Exposure 2010S which is amazing. The Anthem is built like a tank.

Yes, modded the 15's. Don't think a sub is happening in my living room any time soon.

I've heard that anthem couple years ago as there is a dealer down the road that sells a lot of their gear. I remember when Rick had his for sale I so wanted to buy it. If you can swing it grab it.

Good for you....no doubt from F1NUT I'm assuming too. You with MF, Nbrowser with Parasound amps, Jhayman turned on to McCormack...as a few recent examples,we don't just talk out our asses here. Once people get beyond the BestBuy products, their audio world opens up like an expanding universe. A lot of consumers don't even realize some of these companies exist.

Most of us here talk from experience...decades of it, not reading some B.S. article on the internet. That's why club Polk remains home for a lot of people. Want to know about tubes and their sonic signatures, variances...we got you covered. Want to know about setting up that new TT, or old one your uncle left you....we got the dudes here. New...vintage...cutting edge....we have guys experienced in all of it. Various brands....DIY guys....you name it, the experienced folks here can help you better your audio as much as your wallet can handle.

Now that Anthem integrated is rock solid. Some older Anthem stuff....even Sonic Frontiers stuff had a bit of a bloom to them in the lower regions. I think you can't go wrong with the Anthem integrated if the price is right. I sure wouldn't pass on one for a good price. My local CL has an older anthem integrated pre1 for 475 that I keep eyeballing. Just the pre amp section may be worthy of the coin.
