I had 8TL's and they are okay.
From reading the threads, RT55i should be better.

    Klipsch RB81, KG3.5, B&W DM602.5, Polk.
Subwoofers: Klipsch RW10, Triad ProSub Bronze.

I haven't heard the 8tl's but owned some RT55's for a while. I'd take the Pioneer bookie over them all day long. While they don't dig as deep as the 55, what the Pioneer does bring to the table far outweighs the depth of the 55. If you're running with a sub, then its a moot point anyways.

Not a chance a pio bookie can compete with properly powered 8tls.
