I just picked up a very nice pair of Monitor 7Bs (with Peerless tweeters) today for $60. A steal for some great speakers.

I had a previous pair of Monitor 7Bs myself but, owing to having too many speakers and too little cash, I sold my other pair about a year ago and always regretted doing so as they are wonderful speakers - great imaging and sound.

A few weeks ago a pair showed up on my local CL for $60 and, although I need another pair of speakers like I need a hole in the head, I couldn't resist. The Seller was great. He held the speakers for me for a few weeks until we could coordinate our schedules to meet and he even arranged to meet me just an hour away earlier today (he lives over 2 hours away but was going skiing today and was closer to me so we met at a local outlet mall).

The speakers are in great shape - just a few scratches hidden on the bottom of the speakers and some very slight peeling to the veneer on the lower side of one of the speakers. They are in better shape than the speakers I sold last year for twice the money I paid for these.

They sound amazing. Just really great speakers. I will not let these leave the nest!

boston, thanks. I plan to drive them with my Yamaha CR 2020 receiver. I have found that the older Polk Monitor series and the Yamaha CR series have amazing synergy!

Thanks. I will try get a photo up in the next day or two...for some reason I am having trouble figuring out how to upload a photo here at the moment.

boston, no stands unfortunately. Actually, I have been looking for stands for my Monitor 10s (and now will be doing the same for the 7s) for a long time and they just don't seem to pop up for sale often. I guess I could always make a pair of stands as I know there were some specs for diy stands for Polk Monitors on this site somewhere.

I have my 10's sitting on milk crates & stole the stands for my 7's. Your right stands are hard to find. I otta make some. They dont look hard to make--Edit- these are old pics. I have since built a L box over baseboard & painted it same as wall
