Two new record stores in St. Paul. Interesting, but since I went all digital, even changing a CD seems like too much effort ...

That's cool. I am finding more records stores all of the time, in and around Columbus. Even my local F.Y.E started stocking vinyl.Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant

There was an article about it in this months stereophile mag about the sales increasing into 2014.

I have to chuckle when I read about people "coming back to vinyl". I never left.

I'm glad to see a new generation is getting into vinyl. I didn't sell my collection in the 90's like so many others did.
Been buying vinyl since 1969.

Yeah, I been buying vinyl albums since around '66 or '67 maybe, 45's before that. I never sold my album collection either, although I sold all my gear when I went back to school in '84. I got back into vinyl about ten years later and it seemed like a pain to flip albums every 20 minutes. But now I actually like it. Nice to slow down and actually listen deeply to music like we used to do.

Lol! First purchase I remember was "Freewheeling Bob Dylan" IIRC. Circa 1962-63? -

Tom~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -
Having a hard time finding good media easily. It seems like even new recordings are often not mastered well for vinyl. So I have resigned to listening just my old collection or anything I come by that is either inexpensive (thrift store finds) or if FLAC/CD equivalents are not available.

We have local stores expanding in new&used albums I listened to my record player in the late 60's as a kid & when cassettes where in i ditched my records:( 30 plus years later i decide to get back into vinyl & i couldnt be more happier 3+ years later. I still have all my cassettes i ever bought in the 70's & enjoy them as well..

I travel on average an hour one way to go to a record store. Love and missed it for years. I started with Vinyl in the 80's. Went with CD's when they came out and still bought used vinyl into the 90's until my wife had twins. Now 15 years later one of them is all about vinyl and buying stuff like Buddy Holy and Beach Boys!
