question on fuse type lamps

While enjoying my newly purchased Nikko 6065 receiver I noticed that 1 of the glass fuse type lamps has blown. This one is for the tuning meter and it's neighbor the signal strength meter are the only 2 out of the six that are easily accessable. The question is are these actual fuses and all I need is the value or are they different because they light. Looking at the filament it's no bigger than a standard fuse slender filament type. I do have both Radio Shack or if only a fuse Auto Zone to get a couple. P/E does have them but for an item less than a buck I'd like to get it local if I could. Just powered down and pulled and it says 8v-0.3a. Is this just a fuse?

Thanks, calling around the auto parts places they said go to RS. No good, I called RS and all they have are actual fuses and no lamps. I just might have to go with Parts Express and I need some variables if I can't get an exact match. I will now go to E-Bay.

It's on the first post but here it is again. 8v. 0.3a. I found some on E-Bay. None say 0.3a, all found were listed as 8v 300ma.

.3amp is 300ma and while leds may be better for some applications i don't belive this is one of them due to the warm color temp of the lamp and the narrow spread of the leds compared to that of a fuse style lamp, unless some one makes say a frosted glass one with leds inside that give that pleasing glow that hot wire gives in older gear
    There is no cure....

Again thanks guys. I did send an E-mail to Vintage Electronics and have another on my watch list. I found out that 300ma is the equivilant of 0.3. I don't think LEDs would work here. My Nikko has a great deep green defuser and I want to keep all bulbs looking the same. Also I can only get to only 2 out of the 6 of which only 1 is beat so I really do not want to mix and match. For now it's not all that tragic because the bleed through of the neighboring light does give off a lot of glow. If this receiver is MOR I'd love to hear and see their TOTL model and have no idea why this brand did not do better in the U.S. During dicovery I found receivers built for the German market.

I have a Nikko integrated and it is a great piece. Very underrated. The peak meter bulbs have been blown since I got it and I never cared, although this thread may have inspired me to look into it.

In my experience you're going to have a hard time finding those fuse lamps locally, unless you just happen to have a great vintage stereo shop near you. Parts Express will have what you're looking for and you can probably replace every lamp in the thing for 7 or 8 bucks shipped.

If you place an order you should consider buying a few
    extras.
