I have been watching your auction since you posted it. I im interested in the SDA's but not at the price your are asking (without the SDA cable or manual). If you are interested in making a deal or possible trade let me know.
Thanks

Hey, the guy APPARANTLY is from Nova Scotia. Perhaps he is just dual advertising these speakers. I don't understand what exactly this guy has done wrong. If he sells them here instead of e-bay, then he ends the listing early. No big deal. If he sells them on e-bay first, then he posts a note on the forum saying they are sold.
Please educate me on his alleged misconduct. I don't see it.

I agree, nothing so wrong with dual advertising, I've done that before. Basically just like offering a buy it now price but only for forum members. Although he should have figured that someone would spot his auction and made us aware just so no one flips out like people tend to do here.

First time poster trying to push his stuff in two places.......nah, that isn't right. Especially when he doesn't post a price here, but wants $800.00 on eBay.Political Correctness'.........defined

Fair enough. I think the right thing has been done, someone brought it to his attention and he dropped his price. I don't think we should automatically kick him to the curb just because he's not really exp. in selling, esp. if someone on the forum wants his gear. -
The most intelligent thing to do would have been for the seller to just post a link here to the auction there. He doesn't get any benefit out of people bidding in two different places and at best it looks a little peculiar from the potential buyers perspective.
There was a situation like this on eBay a week or so ago with a RT3000p, CS1000p & F/X 1000 combination. Two different people, same components. That would be unusual enough given the components as you just don't see full sets of these rolling around every day. The really strange part was that they had the same picture(s) and not from the PolkAudio site but from someones house and the descriptions were exactly the same and I mean EXACTLY the same even down to the same cosmetic damage and the same typographical errors etc.

I sent notes about this to both sellers and to eBay as I hate to see this sort of thing happen as it's not good for the used audio markets credibility and eBay killed one of them. I still found it distrurbing to the point that if I had been interested in this enough to bid on it, I probably wouldn't have because of this. There are some good components and speakers out there to be had, but one does need to be aware of this sort of thing as well as un-authorized sellers of new equipment and/or grey market stuff.
