Couldn't Be Happier
Listening to Mike Oldfield Tubular Bells on multichannel stereo with a pair of Rtia5's and two pair of Rtia3's with a Denon 891 awesome to say the least, can't wait to get my Yamaha and hear how they sound with a little more juice as of right now I'm enjoying this immensely with the Denon can only imagine when the Yammy shows up. I don't think the 4 Becks I have consumed has nothing to do with it. I enjoy my RTI speakers and proud to own Polks. Just sayin

Maybe it's the Mit T2 speaker cables and Mit interconnects I just hooked up for the first time on the A5's and the Oppo all I know is I'am in a good mood. I'm starting to believe that quality cables and interconnects make the difference or is it the Placebo effect? Got to think the Excorcist scared the s''t out of me and hear I am cranking the music from it.Home Theater

You mean you're "Happy":
"Happy" Pharell Williams Verse 1& hook, cnh Verse 2a, lol
[Verse 1:]
It might seem crazy what I’m about to say
Sunshine she’s here, you can take a break
I’m a hot air balloon that could go to space
With the air, like I don’t care baby by the way
[Hook:]
Because I’m happy
Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof
Because I’m happy
Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth
Because I’m happy
Clap along if you know what happiness is to you
Because I’m happy
Clap along if you feel like that’s what you wanna do
Verse 2a: Yeah, it's probably EVERYTHING that makes you "happy".
Happy if you like RTI-As today,
Happy MITs are plugged and play,
Happy Denons sound like sweet sorbet
Happy Oppos spin CDs that slay.
Am I right!

CNH you nailed it I think the only thing that could make me happier is to get my SDA's modded after my 3030 arrives then thats it I'm officially done exiting said rabbit hole well maybe just maybe a tube preamp and some more Mits then it's over over I say I have spent quite a bit and find it hard to tell the wife the reason I bought several cases of store brand mac and cheese is to support the audio upgrades. All kidding aside she enjoys this hobby as much as me and was the one that picked out the RTIas to begin with, we couldn't be happier except maybe washing down the Mac and cheese with tap water.Home Theater

I love 5.1 music on my polk setup.
Two monitor 70s, Two monitor 40s, one CS2, one Genelec HT sub.
Multi ch in DTS audio is just awesome and I wish all music had a 5.1 mixed version.
Download some of these samples from lynne music. "Voyager" and "Secrete World" are ver cool.

Sounds good. I just ordered one so I can join ya. If it's as good as Ommadawn in 5.1 I'll be a happy camper.

Heretic. Don't you know the only way to listen to music is Pure Direct 2 channel stereo? Seriously, I wish more people would trust their ears. I have even enjoyed music with some of the many processing modes of the receiver.
I was supposed to like my PSB Imagine T6 towers and the C5 center and Axiom QS8's better than my A7's, Ca6 center and FX A6 surrounds. The reviewers drooled over the PSB's, but I was underwhelmed. Really glad I took the Polk plunge even though many would shake their heads at such a tradeoff (tsk, tsk, tsk)
I also found that I like to run my A7's at full range- even though I have a very capable sub. Everyone knows you are supposed to set the crossover @ 80. Heck, the 80 setting even has "THX" next to it.
Trust your ears!!! -
I have to admit, although in my early years of hi-fi I was a cable "skeptic" I did run Monster at the time, just because. Later down the road, I was replacing a set of AQ Type 4's that were simply too short for the new livingroom layout, so I went and bought some standard 12ga multi-strand, and added some nice banana's I had on hand. It was then that I finally realized that cables do make a difference. I couldn't believe what I was hearing---but the generic 12ga sounded like butt. Unfocused came to mind; everything sounded "blurry" and muddy. At first I thought it was just me, but after day 3, they had to come out of the system.
I still refuse to plunk down insane amounts of money for cables, because I believe the bang-for-the-buck element tapers off rather quickly with cables (just MY opinion), and I simply refuse to spend more on a cable, than I do on a source.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2 -
I remember when I first switched from Monster Cable to Signal Cable. I thought I had a completely new system. It completely took me by surprise how much the sound improved. I wasn't expecting a major improvement. I just needed more cables, so I trusted the recommendations here and ordered the cables I needed and decided to just splurge and replace everything with Signal - interconnects, speaker cables, and power cables, just to keep everything one brand. Man was I ever pleased!Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

But oh yeah, I forgot, cables don't matter!Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.
