Should I toe in my fronts to achieve a better center stage? The are approx. 5 ft apart from each other, approx. 2-3ft from the sidewalls and about 10inches from the rear wall. Viewing distance is about 7-8ft.
My Setup: Denon AVR X3600h, Polk Signature S50 Fronts w/ S30 Center and S15 Rears, LG UBK90 4K Player, TCL 6-Series 65”4k TV

    Hello Felipe,

Can't hurt give it a try and see if you like the sound. Lots of folks recommend toeing in just tried a little at a time till you get to the sweet spot.

    Cheers Roger

You can only play with this on your own....biggest fault to get sound stage is the objects in between speakers. In my adventures in tweeking sound stage is have nothing between speakers.

Most cases in a home environment this is not possible. Every inch you can bring them out from the object in between will help.

Keep in mind I have seen speakers actually perform from a toe-out position. Stereo/ Sound stage works of reflection also, so just play around and enjoy. When you lock in you should know.

    Cheers

    +1

Good info here. What Tex is telling you here, is to try to avoid 1st order reflections i.e; shelves, counters, furniture, other epuipment, etc etc.

With nothing crossing in front of the plane of the speakers, you get unadulterated sound waves (ooh).

I prefer some toe-in on most speakers. Grab a friend, tape off some toe-in intervals on the floor, and have him pan through the options to see what sounds best. Make sure you have plenty of thank you beer on hand!

Well, I tried the toe in of my fronts. After testing with different toe in angles, aiming the fronts slightly outside of the central spot created the soundstage I was looking for...wide yet having a central stage as well..a good "phantom" center channel presence. I moved them forward also to have that "no object in between speakers" aspect...sort of lol. Thanks for y'alls advice:-)
