Opinions on infinity classia c336

I have the opportunity to buy a set of these along with the matching center for a $270 , has anyone here owned these before ? Proving seems to be fair .

Sorry, I don't think many have heard these here. They seem to have Infinities CMMD sandwich drivers and the towers retailed for 1600-1800 MSRP. That sounds a tad high. I believe 1200-1300 new would be more realistic pricing?

If I were going to look at something in that range I'd look at some KEF Q900s, or Polk Rti-A9s, etc.

I guess 270 for the pair and a center is "cheap" though, you might be able to flip them if they're not to your liking?

Well I got to listen to them the towers were not producing the correct highs ,, almost as if the tweeter wasn't working . He was persistent they were ok . Then I asked him about his polk speakers he had ..... He said oh yeah polk sucks , that's when I bailed . Oh well thanks anyhow , for the input .

They were bookshelves , appeared to be from the rti series . They were pretty big, for a bookshelf speaker .

I like how I almost got ripped off and yet the main concern here is still the fact that he insulted polk speakers ... lol maybe it was a sign I should stick to polk. Out of all the polk speakers I've purchased used and new I have yet to encounter any problems

Haha I actually looked up polks bookshelf speakers and I do believe those are the ones . The guy was really nice he had quite a bit of high end audio equipment which makes me think he obviously knew they weren't working correctly ... Then again when I told him they weren't functioning right he seemed almost lost and offended so I'm not sure .
