Finally got the new sub today. I've been waiting for this thing for almost two weeks and I finally get to play around with it.
The sub came shipped in a very sturdy box. Cat in picture is for scale.
The XS15 compared to the Bic F12:

I plan on running Audyssey when I have a quiet moment here. I'll report back with my initial impressions.

It looks pretty sweet, Walt.
No doubt the sub has to break in for a while. I pressed in on the driver very gently and it barely moved. I'm guessing that's a combination of the sealed cabinet and the thick surround material.
I hooked it up and ran Audyssey and then set the crossover to 80Hz, all speakers. After that the first thing I listened to was some Flim and the BB's. I had to turn the sub level up a bit to hear the mid to low bass notes and kick drum. It sounded thin. There was little impact. Of course, I freaked. I thought I made a $750 mistake.
Then I threw in Transformers (1). I put in the first scene where Blackout goes ape **** and I heard--and felt--things I've never heard before. There's this one spot where one of the army dudes shoots this flare gun thing at Blackout and he turns around and smokes the dude with some kind of plasma burst. Right as that's happening it feels like someone is trying to lift up the coach with me on it! I've never experienced anything like that before. This sub is definitely at home with LFE.
So, now I have to start experimenting with what little placement options I have. I might shoot Tom an email for some suggestions because I'm not sure why the lower end isn't full when listening to 2 channel music. Will give it some time, try a few things and report back.TV: 65" Samsung QLED 4K

Ahhh, I see you got the one from Italy. So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

All I will say is, watch "A Christmas Story"
OK, the father in the movie wins a prize that's all crated up with the word "FRAGILE" on the side, but he pronounces it FRA-GEEL-AY and proceeds to say "must be Italian". One of your pics reminded me of that! So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

I'm such a dunce. I've seen that movie a million times but for some reason I didn't make the connection. Putting in too many hours at work lately, I tell ya.TV: 65" Samsung QLED 4K

PSA subs get a lot of love over at AVS Forum. Definitely a brand to consider in the future.

Crikey! I think you need seven or eight more tube amps there, buddy! How long have you had your MLs, and how long did it take for the break-in and setup period before you were satisfied?TV: 65" Samsung QLED 4K

Well I have had the Logans for 3 years I think? I started out with Source as they were all I was allowed to buy and then I got the matinee center and it was heaven. I then moved to the stage center and was blown away so I had to go for the Vista. The Vista were only 2K!!! crazy price for amazing speakers and thenI got the sweet electromotions.
The electromotion hammer the Source as I used to sit up from the chair and the sound would bugger off using the Source. I did run an emotiva amp for a while too for HT. The panels dont really break in that much but rather the woofer softens and it depends on how you listen. I was satisfied with my electromotions right out the box.
I love the stats for movies as nothing will give you that detail but for music I can only get down with tubes. When you add tubes you wont believe your listening to the same speakers I kid you not. Everything just snaps together and the bass through the panel improves 10 fold, the midrange will really blossom but you loose a little up top in the highs but its more than a fair trade.
I have an integra running xt32 and it does not sound as good as the Anthem d2 with ARC, you can really tell whats being robbed from you. -
Tubes, eh? That's all I'd have to do is try to add more equipment now. As it is, I think my wife has a hit out on me with all the upgrades lately. I'd love to hear what tubes could do with the EMs.TV: 65" Samsung QLED 4K

And I would love to hear the explanation of where the new cables came from then, LOL.
