Happy St. P's day!
No I'm not Irish, and no I don't know the meaning but it's a nice excuse to drink some beers and cook some comfort food.
Back at school, the bars used to open at 6a on St. P's day, and there would be a line of at least 30 people outside of at least 4 of the bars by 5:30a. They would have drink specials, prizes, Jager girls etc. We'd be in the bars by 6a and pretty hammered by 9a or 10a. Then go home and take a nap and grab some grub, then off to round 2 that night. And round two was usually pretty sloppy all around.
Anyways, now days it's just a few irish beers and corned beef sandwiches with the family.

Had some buddies in from Denver and elsewhere to celebrate and down Guinness and Jameson. Had some snow that diminished the numbers in the parade but overall good time had by all. Heard some good jokes which of course I cannot now remember.
