    That's a shame, he was one of my favorites. I saw him here 10 or 12 years ago in a small comedy club tuning up his act for a Vegas run.
    My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.

    I saw him must have been like 1986 at the Club Bene in NJ. He never even cursed yet was hilarious. He was a frequent guest host on the tonite show, and was great. RIP David.

    I seem to remember that he has appeared on the Tonight Show more times than anyone else.

    Johnny Carson said he was asked back so many times because he (Johnny) just liked to kick back, smoke a cigarette and laugh for six minutes.
