Next up for sale in my collection is my Carver A400X. This thing is a monster of clean power and I almost regret selling it but once again bills have to be paid. It had a few nicks on the top left but are not noticeable from a distance.

I am asking 300 plus shipping

Folks this is a very good amp. IIRC its around the same as the TFM-25 and TFM-24 both of which are very good amps as well. If you want a small, powerhouse amp that just does work, pick this baby up.

Some info about this amp found here:

What's the amp sound like? The older Carvers have been described as more tube-like (at least some of the classics). Does this, which is an A/B design, retain any of that or is it more of a standard SS amp sound. That being said, I know there are any number of people here who "like" the early Carvers and others who describe them as TOO DARK!

I think it has a clear sound that is more like a tube however not as warm but far from too dark IMO. I almost do not want to sell it.
