27" iMac (mid 2011)

Well after three years I've decided to upgrade to the newer model of iMac, so my 2011 model is up for sale. On one hand I've never held on to a computer for this long before so kinda sad ending the streak now, OTOH it's just a computer and I want something new. It's the 27" model with the following specs:
Processor 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 12 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512 MB
Hard Drive 1TB 7200 RPM
On the back you've got 2 Thunderbolt ports, a firewire port, and 4 USB 2 ports, plus the audio input and output jacks. You've also got an optical drive (DVD Writer) and an SD card on the side.
This is basically the Thunderbolt Display with a computer attached to the back. It's a very nice IPS display with great colors and great viewing angles. That display alone runs $1000, which is why I originally opted to pay an extra few hundreds bucks to get a computer attached to the back.
Here's the thread I originally posted after buying this:

This machine has been bulletproof and has served me very well for almost three years. In that time I've had no problems whatsoever and zero crashes, except for one time when the power went out. It's plenty fast and plows through anything I throw at it. The one downside of this machine is the lack of USB 3, the USB ports are 2.0 only so that's something to consider if you have a bunch of USB 3 drives that you want to run at top speeds. I have several USB 3 drives and they work fine, just not at their highest rated speeds.
The machine is in perfect condition with zero flaws, those who've bought from me know the kind of condition I keep my gear in so no worries there. I do have the original box and accessories, I even have the original Operating System disk though at this point it's kinda worthless since Apple no longer charges for their OS and you can just always download the newest version for free from the App Store. I'm doing a clean install and update of OSX Mavericks, so it comes fully up to date and ready to go.
I'm attaching a stock photo for reference since I assume everyone knows what an iMac looks like and this one is in perfect condition with no scratches or marks anywhere, but I can take photos of mine if requested.
Prices for these are all over the place since there are so many configurations. I'm gonna set the price of this one at $1000 which is less than what I'm finding for this model on CraigsList, and mine has the upgraded memory as well (from 4GB to 12GB). Again, keep in mind that they display alone costs $1000, so for that same price you're getting that WITH a computer, can't really beat that.
I do have the box so shipping isn't necessarily impossible, but I'm going to leave this as local pickup for now as I'll need to do further research before I feel comfortable shipping this.
So $1000 picked up or delivered in the DFW area. I'm open to trades as well, nothing particular in mind and I'd prefer cash but if you have something you'd want to trade it doesn't hurt to run it by me.

Still available, will look into shipping if there's interest. I have the original box and may be able to find a suitable outer box to ship in.

One and only bump for local sale, will go up on CL this weekend. I've got it all boxed up, but still keeping shipping as a last resort option.

Hey man. Is this the machine, excepting that you have the 12 gb RAM?

Who supplied and installed the RAM?

Yeah that's the one here. I installed the RAM myself, it's the standard Crucial RAM that everybody uses in these machines as it seems to be the most reliable and widely available option.

Thanks. I'm possibly interested as a replacement for my wife's 2008 iMac, but need to chat with her.“Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'”

I never got around to listing this on CraigsList, one final bump here before I do that today.

This is 100% true. I have purchased several items and they have been in absolutely perfect new condition, and at a price where you would expect obvious flaws! I bet he wears white gloves while using.Vinyl, the final frontier...

same here. I bought a mac air and airport express. Both were in brand new condition.

At my asking price I'm now also including an SSD
SSD UPGRADE
As a bonus I'm including an external thunderbolt solid state drive, the LaCie Rugged 120GB SSD. This is the drive I actually used to boot and run the OS and programs from, I used the internal drive for storage only. This makes the computer much faster, boot in less than 20 seconds and programs just open instantly when you click on them. For this sale I currently have the machine set up in it's default state to use the internal drive, allowing you to use the external SSD for whatever you want (boot and programs or storage). However, if you know you want to boot from the SSD I can install the OS there and set the machine to boot from that instead, which is how I used it. You can easily do this yourself down the road, but I'll do it up front if you wish. -
Bump, and I'm open to shipping as well
I'm also open to local trades, nothing on the large side though.
