Did my taxes last week and I've got about $1K coming back. :) Found money so I think that I should spend it on some new gear. Take a look at my system so far and give me your suggestions on what I should add or upgrade.

How do you like your 57S700 Hitachi. I'm considering going with the 65S700 or the Toshiba 65H93(or 65HX93).
    thanks

Not sure what I want to tell the truth. My system seems to do what I ask of it.

I thought about a sub but wasn't sure that it would add a whole lot since I do have the RTi12's.

I am missing an HDTV. Maybe that would be the way to go. Any suggestions in that area?

Go front projection. You can get a FP unit for about 1k and do a DIY screen for about $40.

I've got 5k coming back. Not sure yet, most will go into savings, but there IS some sort of upgrade for the theater coming. I'm thinking.....bass shakers and an amp or, I just don't know. One thing for sure, gonna drop about $150 restocking the cigar humidor.

    Peace Out~:D

I love it. The biggest hurdle was that the picture settings are horrible out of the box (like most tv's i guess). If you go with a 65" make sure you can get about 12 feet away or more. I'm just about 10feet away from my 57, and wouldn't mind being 11 feet away, but I have room constraints.

I have a 60" Hitachi standard now, but it is over 8 years old and is starting to show its age. Verticle hold lets loose and picture jiggles when using my psw 300 sub. So I'm in a quandry about whether I should have it repaired (about $450-90 day guarantee)or replace it. It looks like technology is moving to LCD's like the Sony 70" XBR, but street price for these is still about $ 6,000.

I vote for front projection, or an upgrade to 7.1
