Melee Xbox One adapter question

I got my Melee headset adapter today but haven't had a chance to hook it up yet. In looking at the contents of the package I see the instructions, mUSB cable, adapter, and cable. My question is, does this just hook up to the controller and game audio as well as headset audio goes through now? Otherwise this is leaving me confused, as there's only one audio jack on the Melee. Also, if it is the case that you just hook it up through and audio comes through the controller, that's a bit disappointing as now we're no longer getting to use the signal processor that comes with the Melee.

That is correct, you get game and chat through the adapter. You are getting stereo sound, not using the Melee DSP.

I agree this is disappointing as most of us were under the assumption that the melee + adapter would equal a 4shot

Are you saying that some people have already received their adapters? I live in Canada so i guess I won't see mine for another month then! Great! Well at least they are getting them out. Let me know thoughts on quality. I can still return the Melees and get the 4 shot if that is the better way to go. However i have a 360 and the One and these seemed to fit the bill on both.

The Melee plug into adapter making them exactly the same as 4Shot... But you can still use them on 360...
