LSiC ¿need amp?

i recently bought a LSiC speaker and I'm happy. Match perfectly with my LSi9.

Anyway I noticed a little different with these maybe not deeper bass. Sometimes i use a "phatom speaker" and other times the LSiC...

i have a Sony DAES2400 AV (85W, 4ohm) and i wonder if i buy a multichannel amp (thinking in Emotiva XPA-5) will LSic center improve (especially the bass) including my LSi9 and LSi7 speakers?

My room is about 13x18 size.

    Your AVR is *NOT* putting out 85wpc with all speakers driven. If you are running 5 4 ohm speakers from that AVR, you are probably in the 25-35wpc range realistically.

    The XPA-5 will make an absolutely night and day difference there.
    As for the bass from the LSiC, it is a compromise speaker. It is smaller than, crossed over differently and ported differently from the LSi9, even though it has the same compliment of drivers. So it will not produce the lower octaves as well as the 9s...ever.

    Yes i am running 5 Lsi speakers and it must be true because I have to increase the volume too much :(

    What are you looking to spend for a amp? Lots of good amps out there when you look at used.
