Heading back to the office, hit one of our goodwill stores. Some kid rolled out a cart, had these realistic MC-2000 and set of Nova 5's on it. Not quite the "quality" purchase but for less than $20 bucks had to make the big purchase.

I've never had a big score at goodwill. Best I've done is an aging NAD cdp for $8. Congrats on finding something worth your money.

I found some of those catalogs earlier. Was kinda neat.
Funny thing is the single rca jack on the back still has the plug in it and all for speakers still have the original inspection stickers still attached..Go figure....

Even more goofy, we have a place here called trader bucks. Some guy has a both with some electronic stuff in it. Anyway, friend of mine brought home a pair of speakers that the guy kept saying was pioneers. They were a set of Design Acoustics PS-10's.

    One just never knows anymore...

Congrats on the score! Most of us Indiana Polkies come up short on the Goodwill finds since they tend to list their stuff online now

    THANKS,
Yeah, most of the good stuff goes on line. Heading out to Nashville TN in a few, might do some shopping down south.

    Neat,

Are you gonna trade them in for a new set and get the about $500.00 off?
I had an old pair in horrible condition, called bose and they set me a new set for $699.00 including the eq.

FYI, I know the thoughts on bose here, they are back in the original box as they don't compete with my SDA's.

Cool! I am sure there should be some good stuff there.

I am trying to snag a decent local deal for something in the next day or two. Mum on what it is though

Nice pickup for fun. I got some nova 10's this way and an orphaned optimus 1 (thinking I'd find his brother some day)

    Thanks friend!
I did not know that, you could trade in, I will be looking into that rather than restoring them.
I have repaired the corner with bondo and played them since I got them other than that I need more time.

Those old realistics are not that bad. And these, it seems, only had a one year run in that design. 1979 disco, disco?

    Oh FYI,
When I did this, I origanlly called to see if they repairs, they said no, thats when the guy told me they offered the trade in program on 901's only. I just pulled the invoice and the date was March 13, 2013. I hope they still offer that program.

Hope it comes thru. Just got back from Nashville TN. Only had time for 2 stores, tons of electronics, just no old receivers at this time. However, had my nephew with me who lives down there. He has a list of things to look for so hopefully he will find something.
